The Nassfeld in the Carnic Alps is a saddle between the Austrian Gail and the Italian canal valley. The pass is 1.552 m above sea level. The surrounding mountains are the Gartnerkofel (2195m), which is the most important occurrence of the Wulfenia, the Trogkofel (2280m) and the Rosskofel (2240m).
The pass road is accessible all year round on the Austrian side and the largest carinthian ski area - the Nassfeld - is located on the pass.
